12 Log Cabins at Thompson River Fish Camp

Located on Otter Lake in Northern Saskatchewan, the fish camp is situated along the course of the Churchill River as it flows through the lake on route to Hudson Bay. The camp is renowned for world class trophy fish such as Northern Pike, Wall Eye, Perch and Trout. These log cabins are subjected to extremely harsh winters and require regular and meticulous finishing to ensure longevity.

12 cabins were blasted down to bare wood and treated with several coats of preservative and stain. An extremely short window of opportunity exists to perform maintenance after the winter but before the fishing season, Ocean Pacific Media Blasting successfully completed the project by opening day, May 17th. In appreciation of our hard work and keeping the project on schedule for opening day, Team Ocean was given a complimentary day on the sticks. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, our thanks to Ron Striker and staff at Thompson River Fish Camp.

“We had Ocean Pacific Log Home Restorations come in to blast and stain 12 cabins for us on Otter Lake Missinipe in the month of May-2016. The cabins were built some 40 years ago. Weathering and years of re applying stain were taking its toll. They were told we needed the work done by opening day May-17th and they delivered all 12 cabins completely blasted and stained right on time.
The resort looks like new thanks to Sal and his crew from Ocean Pacific. The crew were professional both while at work and while joining us for supper in the cafeteria after their long days. We would recommend OPLR to anyone looking to have their place or refinished. They exceeded our expectations.”
