Restoring Chancellor Peaks Log Chalets in Golden, BC

Chancellor Peak Chalets is a deluxe lodging experience located just west of Golden, B.C., bordering the Yoho National Park, on the banks of the Kicking Horse River, west of Lake Louise and Banff.  These luxurious and rustic log cabins see harsh conditions every winter in the Rockies and in the early spring of 2021, Ocean Pacific was awarded the task to blast and stain the 18 cabins in time for their all important, first post-pandemic season.

We blasted the old failing solid stain with a crushed glass 50/100 and re-stained all the cabins with several coats of a Sikkens Natural to show off the logs natural grain. The project took approximately 2 weeks from start to finish with a crew of 6.
